Jennifer Butler is the leading expert in the sociology of style and color. Her experience lies in the art of visual communication. Building on her fashion expertise, knowledge of human nature, and understanding of color, Jennifer develops style and color palettes that reveal the essence of an individual’s personality. Through her work, Jennifer CEOs and business executives, celebrities, artists, community leaders and individuals to powerfully, authentically, and effectively express themselves. She believes that the way we physically express ourselves is a critical element to becoming powerful communicators, whether on a stage in front of hundreds or at home with our families.
Jennifer leverages over 35 years in the fashion industry and degrees in sociology and art history to help her clients effectively express themselves through their appearance. Her love and talent for fashion began in college where demand for her exotic, handmade clothing led her to open a small boutique called Piece of Mind. Her design work and entrepreneurship won her the honor of being named one of Glamour magazine’s Top Ten Glamour Girls. It also led to a photo spread in Women’s Daily magazine featuring her inspirational designs.
Later, as a stylist at Vogue Patterns, Jennifer pioneered the concept of grouping coordinating garments in her signature “Hat Box” concept. Her thoughtful approach to fashion helped extend her color and design work internationally, including collaborations with June Roche, the country’s leading color expert at the time, and the opportunity to coordinate a show for 6,000 of the top designers in the automotive, interior and fashion industries. After moving toLos Angeles, Jennifer started working with leading color theorist, Suzanne Caygill, founder of the four-season color harmony theory. After spending several years training with Suzanne, Jennifer used her fashion expertise and color knowledge to create Jennifer Butler Living Colors, LLC, her proprietary system for personalized design and color analysis.
